The Great Simplification
Nate Hagens started his career as a finance guy on Wall Street. It wasn’t long before he realized the mess we were making as a species and the trouble we will be in when growth outpaces available resources. He pivoted his career and enrolled at the University of Vermont where he earned a Ph.D. in Natural Resources. He believes that there are sufficient resources on the planet for us to live a good life — just not the life that most people in the global north are accustom to. His appeal is for us to begin to act now so that we can bend, and not break.
To decide if this podcast is for you, check out the animated video series for the Great Simplification produced by Nate and his team. It paints a clear picture of our predicament. I haven’t missed an episode since stumbling upon that first video.
